The Management Team
Perpetua’s management team brings decades of experience in developing and operating projects across North America. More importantly, they are the people responsible for delivering on the commitments made to federal agencies, to investors, and to the communities of Idaho.

Jon Cherry
President, CEO & DirectorJon Cherry was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Perpetua Resources and joined the Board of Directors in March 2024. With 37 years of experience in the mining industry, Jon is leading the company as the Stibnite Gold Project advances from permitting into development and operations. Having started his mining career in Idaho, Jon sees the Stibnite Gold Project as a model for the next generation of responsible mining in America.
Throughout his career, Jon has been guided by the principle that modern mining must balance environmental stewardship, strong community partnerships, and the nation’s growing need for critical mineral resources. That perspective drew him to Perpetua’s mission to restore a long abandoned site while responsibly producing the metals and minerals essential to America’s future.
Prior to joining Perpetua, Jon served for 11 years as President, and Chief Executive Officer of PolyMet Mining and served as Chairman the final three years. He also spent more than 20 years in senior leadership roles at Rio Tinto, primarily focused on project development as well as environmental and governmental affairs. Jon is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Montana Tech University. He currently serves on the boards of Highland Copper Company and the Montana Tech Foundation.

Mark Murchison
Chief Financial OfficerMark Murchison has more than 25 years of experience in the metals and mining industry, with deep expertise in finance, capital projects, corporate strategy, and operational growth. He has held senior financial leadership roles across both public and private mining and processing companies operating globally and brings extensive experience supporting companies through development, expansion, and strategic transformation.
Before joining Perpetua Resources, Mark served for seven years as Chief Financial Officer of Alacer Gold, where he played a key leadership role in the company’s financial strategy, capital allocation, project development initiatives, and successful strategic merger of equals transaction with SSR Mining. He also spent more than 12 years in senior financial leadership roles at Rio Tinto across several product groups in global roles. Most recently, Mark served as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary at U.S. Vanadium, a private vanadium producer based in Arkansas.
Mark has significant experience leading project financing efforts and capital planning for large-scale developments, including a $750 million autoclave expansion at Alacer’s gold mine operation in Turkey.

Mckinsey Lyon
Senior Vice President, External AffairsMckinsey Lyon serves as Senior Vice President of External Affairs at Perpetua Resources, where she leads the company’s government relations, public policy, communications, and social license development efforts for the Stibnite Gold Project. She brings an interdisciplinary approach to public affairs, with deep experience in advocacy, strategic messaging, media relations, and building trusted relationships with communities, policymakers, and key stakeholders.
Prior to joining Perpetua, Mckinsey was a partner at Gallatin Public Affairs, where she advised a diverse range of clients on navigating complex policies and regulatory environments through integrated, multi-platform strategies that advanced their business objectives.
After consulting with Perpetua Resources for six years, Mckinsey joined the company’s team in 2017, driven by her belief that the Stibnite Gold Project represents the next generation of modern mining – restoring a historic site while helping produce the metals and minerals essential to America’s future.
A fifth-generation Idahoan, Mckinsey grew up exploring Idaho’s wild landscapes with her family. Today, she shares that same appreciation for Idaho’s natural heritage with her husband and their three children.

Jim Norine
Senior Vice President, ProjectsJim Norine brings more than 26 years of experience in project construction and engineering, delivering large-scale mining and processing projects across the United States and internationally. He has a proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from engineering and procurement through construction and execution, with deep expertise in project delivery, operational planning, and cross-functional leadership. Prior to joining Perpetua Resources, Jim served as Regional Director, Metals for the Western United States at Hatch, a global multidisciplinary engineering, project management, and development consultancy. Most recently during his time at Hatch, he served as Project Director for the engineering and procurement delivery of the Hermosa Project in Arizona under an integrated delivery model.
Earlier in his career, Jim held senior leadership roles at Ausenco, where he served as Vice President of Southwest U.S. operations; Sundt Construction, where he served as Senior Project Manager; and M3 Engineering & Technology, where he served as Project Manager. Jim is a licensed Professional Engineer in Idaho.

Tim Kahl
Senior Vice President, Technical ServicesTim Kahl joined Perpetua Resources in December 2025 as Senior Vice President, Technical Services, after serving as a consultant to the company for nearly two years as operations lead and subject matter expert for processing and pressure oxidation. He has more than 30 years of experience in design, construction, commissioning, and operation of complex mining and process facilities.
Throughout his career across North and South America, Tim has successfully guided projects from construction and commissioning through operational startup and long-term production. He brings deep expertise in operational readiness, process optimization, and mine development across both precious and base metals operations.
Most recently, Tim served as General Manager of Operations at Peñasquito Mine, operated by Newmont, and previously as Process Manager for Pueblo Viejo Mine, operated by Barrick Gold.

Dustin Rissmiller
Vice President, Human ResourcesDustin Rissmiller serves as Vice President of Human Resources at Perpetua Resources and brings extensive experience building, developing, and leading teams across mining and energy projects in both domestic and international environments.
With a strong background in talent acquisition, workforce planning, team development, and organizational leadership, Dustin plays a key role in helping Perpetua scale its workforce to meet the evolving demands of construction and future operations.
Dustin’s people-focused leadership is instrumental in fostering a strong, safe, and values-driven organization that supports both operational excellence and long-term employee success.

Ryan Vogt
Vice President, FinanceRyan Vogt serves as Vice President of Finance at Perpetua Resources and brings more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, compliance, and strategic planning. His background includes financial leadership, corporate governance, transaction execution, and supporting organizations through critical growth and transformation milestones. Prior to joining Perpetua, Ryan served for 11 years as Corporate Controller and Executive Officer at PolyMet Mining, where he played a key role in several significant corporate transactions including the formation of the NewRange Copper Nickel joint venture with Teck Resources and Glencore’s go-private transaction with PolyMet.
Ryan is committed to Perpetua’s mission to transform a site shaped by more than a century of historic mining into a modern, nationally strategic asset through responsible development. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Northern Iowa.

Joe Fazzini
Vice President, Investor RelationsJoe Fazzini brings more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance, capital markets, and executive leadership to his role as Vice President of Investor Relations at Perpetua Resources.
With a foundation as a financial auditor at a Big Four accounting firm, Joe developed deep expertise in financial reporting across the precious and base metals mining sector. He subsequently moved into institutional equity research at a leading Canadian capital markets firm, where he covered precious metals equities and honed his ability to evaluate and communicate investment opportunities to institutional investors. Joe later assumed CFO roles at mineral development companies across Canada and Ecuador, navigating the financial and operational complexities of resource development and culminating in the acquisition of both companies.
At Perpetua, Joe draws on this breadth of experience to lead the company’s investor relations program, serving as a primary point of contact for the global investment community. He is committed to transparent, disciplined communication that clearly articulates Perpetua’s strategic vision, project milestones, and long-term value proposition.
Corporate Board
Perpetua’s board of directors brings experience across mining, environmental compliance, public policy, and capital markets. Their role is to provide oversight, hold the company accountable, and ensure the project is developed responsibly. This includes direct involvement in governance, risk management, and long-term decision-making.

Marcelo Kim
ChairmanPartner at Paulson & Co. Inc. since 2011, overseeing natural resource investments across gold, base metals, bulk commodities, and oil and gas. Joined the Perpetua board in 2016. Holds a BA in Economics from Yale University.

Jon Cherry
President, CEO & Director33+ years in mining, spanning permitting, project development, and operations. Previously led PolyMet Mining and held senior roles at Resolution Copper (Rio Tinto/BHP) and Rio Tinto’s Eagle Mine.

Andrew Cole
Director35+ years in metals and mining, with expertise in refractory ore processing. Previously General Manager at Barrick Gold’s Goldstrike Mine and General Manager of the Donlin Gold Project in Alaska, where he secured major project permits, including the Final Record of Decision.

Bob Dean
DirectorIdaho native based in Boise with over 20 years in business, investment management, and corporate finance, including two decades at Allen & Company. Currently Managing Member of Gemstone Capital and Co-Owner of Ada Sand & Gravel.

Laura Dove
Director30+ years of legislative and policy experience. Served as Secretary of the U.S. Senate Majority from 2013 to 2020 and previously led federal government relations at Ford Motor Company. Held fellowships at the University of Chicago and Harvard Kennedy School.

Rich Haddock
DirectorFormer General Counsel of Barrick Gold Corporation with extensive permitting experience in the U.S. and internationally. Also served as Barrick’s Global VP of Environment and Interim Regional President of North America. Practicing attorney since 1985 with a background in geology.

Jeff Malmen
DirectorIdaho native and Boise resident. Currently SVP of Public Affairs for IDACORP and Idaho Power. Previously Chief of Staff for two Idaho governors, with over 20 years in policy, government affairs, and corporate communications.

Chris Robison
DirectorChris Robison, who resides in Denver, Colorado and was most recently Chief Operating Officer for Newmont Mining, the world’s largest gold miner, brings extensive expertise in mining, metallurgy, project development, mine safety, stakeholder engagement, environmental issues, corporate social responsibility, supply chain, mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, business improvement and regulatory issues. Prior to his role at Newmont, Mr. Robison had a distinguished career at Rio Tinto Minerals and Kennecott Utah Copper.

Alex Sternhell
DirectorAlex Sternhell, based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, is one of the top Washington strategists and lobbyists helping to shape U.S. public policy as Principal of the Sternhell Group. Mr. Sternhell has more than two decades of experience working on Capitol Hill. He served as the Democratic Deputy Staff Director of and Senior Policy Advisor to the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs as well as the Staff Director for the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Securities and Investment. He played a key role in drafting and negotiating nearly every major piece of financial services legislation in recent history, including Sarbanes-Oxley, the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act, and Gramm-Leach Bliley.
